SleekBall Privacy Policy
In short: SleekBall has no ads, no analytics of our own and no tracking. Your game data stays on your phone. If you sign in to Google Play Games, your scores, in-game stats and achievements go to Google to show on the leaderboards. We, the developer, never receive any of your data.
SleekBall is a game for Android. This policy explains the little data involved and where it goes.
Data that stays on your phone
Your scores, run history, stats, achievements, settings and style choices are saved on your phone, in the app's private storage. We never receive them. Uninstalling the game or clearing its data deletes them.
Android backup
If backup is turned on in your phone's settings, Android may include SleekBall's saved stats and settings in your phone's backup to your Google account. They then come back after a reinstall or on a new phone. Google runs this backup as part of Android, and you control it in your phone's settings. We cannot access it.
Google Play Games (leaderboards and achievements)
SleekBall's leaderboards and achievements use Google Play Games Services, run by Google.
- If you're signed in to Play Games, the game sends Google Play Games:
- your best score;
- your Daily Challenge scores;
- your in-game stats from the Progress screen: dodge and grab reaction times, portal decisions, precision and corrections, each worked out from your latest runs (up to 10 runs, or your latest 10 grabs and portals).
- Your Play Games gamer name and avatar appear next to your scores. Who can see them (everyone, friends only, or only you) follows your Play Games profile settings.
- Google's Play Games software also collects its own analytics and diagnostics data to keep the service working, and encrypts data in transit.
- You don't have to use Play Games. The whole game works without signing in, and then nothing is sent.
- To delete your Play Games data, use your Play Games profile or your Google Account settings.
Google's privacy policy applies to this data: policies.google.com/privacy
How long data is kept, and deleting it
- On your phone: your game data is kept until you delete it. Uninstalling SleekBall, or clearing its data in Android's app settings, deletes it. The game keeps its run history to your latest 1,000 runs and drops older ones automatically.
- With us: we don't receive or store any of your data, so there is nothing for us to keep or delete.
- Android backup: you can delete SleekBall's backup in your Google account's backup settings, or turn backup off in your phone's settings.
- Google Play Games: Google keeps your scores and achievements under its own policy. You can delete your Play Games data in the Play Games app's settings or in your Google Account settings.
Accounts
SleekBall has no accounts of its own: you can't create one, and we hold no account data. Play Games uses your Google account, which Google manages.
How your data is kept secure
- Your game data is stored in SleekBall's private app storage, which Android keeps away from other apps.
- The game makes no internet connections of its own. Data sent to Google Play Games goes through Google Play services on your phone, encrypted in transit.
- We don't sell, rent or share your data with anyone.
Purchases
SleekBall Ultimate is a one-time purchase made through Google Play. Google handles the payment, and we never see your card or payment details. The game only asks Google Play whether your account owns Ultimate.
Sharing your progress card
If you tap Share, the game creates an image of your progress and passes it to the app you pick, such as a messaging app. Nothing is sent unless you choose to share.
Permissions
SleekBall asks for no permissions that need your approval. Google's Play Billing library, which handles the purchase, adds three permissions that Android grants automatically: internet access, network state and Google Play billing. The game itself makes no internet connections. Play Games and purchases go through Google Play on your phone.
Children
SleekBall is a general-audience game. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The only data that leaves the phone is described above, and Google handles it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address, with a new date at the top.
